Day 30 ... A month already
And it doesn't feel like I've achieved, completed or done anything except whinge. I have learnt Lua syntax although that's not a great feat as it is simple enough, I know how to structure a Love page(s). But programming-wise I don't think I've done much, this I know is mainly due to myself being too scared to start any projects and mess about with them. I get that programming is learned by doing and breaking stuff. But I have an adverse Pavlovian reaction to breaking things, 'la chancla' is always looming over me :P and yes am still confused when tutorials add an extra letter out of nowhere, but I do understand the basics, it's just the building that is most probably holding me back at this point.
So I've swapped to Godot (thank you compatibility mode) and it seems so has everyone else. It seems Unity users do not like the changes that have been implemented after answering to shareholders, these things tend to happen when money is involved, investors like receiving money and usually a lot of it. I for one understand the why, but what I do think it is a scummy move is the 'per install' without verification if it non pirated. Am sure if Unity withdraws a couple of its demands, it will all die down like what happened with Adobe. But am sure Godot is going to enjoy this period and it will see more tutorials and games made. So happy days :D
